Edinbuzz supports people who are actively working to improve their community to get online and make the most of the many free tools that are out there.
We work mainly with non-profits, community organisations, social enterprises and other volunteers, but we’re interested in helping anyone who shares our aims. If you work or volunteer for a community project, or you just fancy blogging about your neighbourhood, of if you’d like to help other folk get online, then please do consider registering with this site.
We’re running a series of Social Media Surgeries in early 2011, and we also do paid consultancy work for more complex projects.
We built an automated local news site for Edinburgh that aggregates more than 60 Edinburgh based blogs and lot’s of Edinburgh based tweets too. You can find that at www.edinbuzz.com and you can get a daily update via Twitter if you follow us at www.twitter.com/edinbuzz
Often, when we help local organisations to build a website, we add their news feed to Edinbuzz.com to help promote their news updates to other local people.
Edinbuzz is supported by Edinburgh based social enterprise called Greener Monday. We also gratefully acknowledge the support of the City of Edinburgh Council, Libraries and Information Service for funding our first round of Social Media Surgeries.
